Programme Overview

The Smiles of Grace Foundation SHS Scholarship Program is designed to support outstanding jhs graduates from underprivileged backgrounds in pursuing advanced degrees at prestigious universities in Ghana. This initiative aims to foster academic excellence, promote social mobility, and create future leaders who will contribute to global development.

Eligibility Criteria

Completed jhs and written bece with good grades

Admission Requirements

You should have gotten admission into a senior high school in Ghana

Economic Background

• Demonstrated financial need
• Must provide documentation proving economic hardship or disadvantaged background
• Priority given to candidates from:
  • Low-income households
  • Underserved communities
  • Rural areas with limited educational opportunities

Application Process

Required Documents

• Completed scholarship application form
• Personal statement (maximum 1,000 words)
• Academic transcripts
• Two academic references
• Proof of shs admission
• Documentation of financial need
• Family income declaration and supporting documents

Selection Process

• Initial application screening
• Document verification
• Shortlisting of qualified candidates
• Interview process
  • Panel interview with foundation board members
  • Academic aptitude assessment
  • Leadership potential evaluation
  • Community engagement discussion

Scholarship Coverage

• Full tuition fees
• Monthly stipend for living expenses
• One-time settlement allowance
• Annual book and research allowance
• Health insurance

Scholar Obligations

• Maintain excellent academic standing
• Submit quarterly progress reports
• Participate in foundation's mentorship program
• Engage in community service activities
• Act as an ambassador for Smiles of Grace Foundation
